Why Was Tanya's Rib Pain Coming From Somewhere Else?

In Tanya's video, you saw a glimpse of how we discovered what needed addressing for her severe rib pain.

We didn't begin knowing that a muscle near the front of her shoulder blade would be the answer.

Our process gradually led us there.

As I tried releases in different areas, Tanya's body kept showing us what was changing.

Most areas made little difference.

One made a much bigger one.

Her body began protecting less.

She could turn further.

Her rib pain reduced.

We hadn't guessed the answer.

Her body had gradually revealed it.

That's the part I find fascinating.

For many years, I assumed the most important question was,

"Where is the pain?"

Now I think there is another question that often reveals much more.

"What is our brain protecting?"

Tanya's pain was in her ribs.

The area that produced the biggest improvement wasn't.

We could not have known that beforehand.

It only became clear because of what changed when we addressed it.

That is how our process works.

When something important is released, our bodies show us.

Protection reduces.

Movement becomes easier.

Pain may change as well.

When very little changes, we simply keep searching.

The body gradually narrows the search until the areas that matter begin to stand apart from those that don't.

Perhaps that's the simplest way I can explain the difference.

Pain tells us where we suffer.

It doesn't always tell us what needs to be addressed.

Sometimes those two things are the same.

Most times they aren't.

When they aren't, it can completely change what needs to be addressed.

Could this help explain your pain?
