Why Did A Rib Release Improve Lenore's Neck Pain?

In Lenore's video, you watched the muscles in her neck suddenly grab as she turned her head.

Most of us would naturally assume those muscles were simply tight.

That's certainly what it looked like.

But rather than trying to lengthen the muscles, I became interested in something else.

Why were they grabbing?

As we gradually searched different areas, our process eventually led us to one of Lenore's rib joints.

Not because we expected it.

Because her body gradually revealed it.

When we reduced the strain around that rib, something interesting happened.

The muscles in Lenore's neck no longer needed to grab so strongly.

Her movement became easier.

Her pain reduced.

I find that observation fascinating.

It has changed the way I think about pain.

For many years I assumed that when a muscle felt tight,

the muscle itself was usually the problem.

Now I think tightness often means something different.

Sometimes a muscle is not simply short.

Sometimes it is protecting.

That changes the question completely.

Instead of asking,

"How do we loosen this muscle?"

we can begin asking,

"What is this muscle protecting?"

Those are very different conversations.

Sometimes they lead us to the same place.

Often they don't.

Lenore's story isn't unusual.

Once I started paying attention to what our bodies were revealing, this type of pattern kept appearing.

We don't assume the muscle that's grabbing is necessarily the problem.

We gradually search.

Our bodies show us what changes.

Sometimes the answer is close by.

Most times it's somewhere quite unexpected.

Either way, our bodies gradually reveal what matters.

And when they do, the grabbing can reduce.

Movement can become easier.

Pain can settle.

If Lenore's story made sense to you, perhaps your own body has been trying to tell a similar story.

You are welcome to book a free call.

We'll simply talk about what has been happening and whether this process might be worth exploring.

There's no pressure.

No obligation.

Just a conversation about what's been happening, what has already been tried, and whether this approach sounds appropriate to investigate.
